Third Avenue Management respects your right to privacy. We also know that you expect us to conduct and process your business in an accurate and efficient manner. To do so, we must collect and maintain certain personal information about you. This is the information we collect from you on applications or other forms and from the transactions you make with us, affiliates, or third parties. We do not disclose any information about you or any of our former customers to anyone, except to our affiliates (which may include the Funds' distributor and the Funds' affiliated money management entities) and service providers, or as otherwise permitted by law. To protect your personal information, we permit access only by authorized employees. Be assured that we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your personal information.

The Trust has adopted policies and procedures reasonably designed to prevent selective disclosure of the Funds' portfolio holdings to third parties. Each Fund discloses its top ten portfolio holdings on a monthly basis approximately 15 business days after month end by posting this information on the Trust's website, and substantially all of its portfolio holdings on a quarterly basis through reports to shareholders or filings with the SEC within 60 days after quarter end. Other disclosures of portfolio holdings information will only be made following a determination by the Funds' Chief Compliance Officer that the disclosures are for a legitimate business purpose (such as to service providers or broker-dealers in connection with the performance of services for the Funds) and that the recipient has been notified that it is subject to a duty of confidentiality and may not trade in securities on the basis of non-public information that may be included in these disclosures. The Trustees periodically review information regarding the nature of such disclosures and recipients in order to provide oversight of this function. Service providers that are currently authorized for disclosure of information are the Trust's Adviser, Distributor, Transfer Agent, Custodian(s), Auditors, Accountants, Counsel and each of their respective affiliates and advisers. Any additional parties to whom portfolio holdings information is disclosed will be reported to the Board of Trustees. The Trust's policies and procedures prohibit any person or entity from receiving compensation or consideration of any kind in connection with any disclosures of portfolio holdings. The Trust believes that the foregoing procedures substantially eliminate the likelihood of conflicts between the interests of shareholders and affiliates of the Trust.
Third Avenue Management has developed a Business Continuity Plan on how we will respond to events that significantly disrupt our business. Since the timing and impact of disasters and disruptions is unpredictable, we will have to be flexible in responding to actual events as they occur. With that in mind, we are providing you with this information on our business continuity plan.
Contacting Us - If after a significant business disruption you cannot contact us as you usually do at 1-800-441-6580, you should visit our web site at www.thirdave.com.
Our Business Continuity Plan - We plan to quickly recover and resume business operations after a significant business disruption and respond by safeguarding our employees and property, making a financial and operational assessment, protecting the firm's books and records, and allowing our customers to transact business. In short, our business continuity plan is designed to permit our firm to resume operations as quickly as possible, given the scope and severity of the significant business disruption.
Our business continuity plan addresses: data back up and recovery; all mission critical systems; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with customers, employees, and regulators; alternate physical location of employees; critical supplier, contractor, bank and counter-party impact; regulatory reporting; and assuring our customers prompt access to their funds and securities if we are unable to continue our business.
Varying Disruptions - Significant business disruptions can vary in their scope, such as only our firm, a single building housing our firm, the business district where our firm is located, the city where we are located, or the whole region. Within each of these areas, the severity of the disruption can also vary from minimal to severe. In a disruption to only our firm or a building housing our firm, we will transfer our operations to a local site when needed and expect to recover and resume business within 4 to 12 hours. In a disruption affecting our business district, city, or region, we will transfer our operations to a site outside of the affected area, and recover and resume business within 12 to 24 hours. In either situation, we plan to continue in business, and notify you through our web site www.thirdave.com. If the significant business disruption is so severe that it prevents us from remaining in business, we will assure our customer's prompt access to their funds and securities.
